Despicable Me
Easily the cutest movie I’ve seen.

Despicable Me has so many golden moments. So many one-liners that I want to quote - but I won’t, I don’t want to spoil the experience for those who haven’t seen the movie.
I really like the fact that the protagonist is a “villain”. I also really like how the antagonist resonates evil with both direction and magnitude! (Vector cf. scalar quantities - in case you missed the reference.) Fun and educational! What isn’t there to like? I actually noticed several random inserts of educational facts. E.g. the tides being affected by the Moon.

The characters in Despicable Me are adorable. The girls and the minions provide many swoons and much laughter. If you don’t fall in love with them before half way in, get your heart checked out. Although the story is rather simplistic, I do feel that the emotions are genuine. It is definitely a “nice” movie, in every sense of the word.

I sometimes measure my liking for movies by the number of times it makes me teary (e.g. 2 ½ tears - I swear the process isn’t as lame as it sounds). The movie did get my eyes glassy at one point; but unfortunately, no tears. Still, overall a solid effort considering the number of animated releases nowadays. 4 out of 5. That might be a little generous - its the cuteness factor.
Take your kids out to watch Despicable Me (if you have any)! Undoubtedly one for the family.
